What an amazing experience racing in Cincinnati this weekend for the Pan American Cyclocross Championships. The course was dry, very bumpy and hard on the hands with lots of power sections. The biggest challenge of the race was the heat. At +27c this was a huge difference from what I’d been racing and training in back home. My last few races were near 0c with wet snow and mud. 🔥🔥🔥 The heat hit me during lap 4 of 5. Up to that point I was feeling pretty good, although I just couldn’t maintain the same pace. I was able to maintain my position for lap 4, and then started to feel a bit better and pushed as hard as I could during the final lap while being chased from behind. Finished 4th out of 18 U23 Women. I’m happy with my performance plus I still have a few more years in U23 and I’m looking forward to what they will bring. 😄 #CincyCX #FocusedOnCross #PanAmerican #hottamales
